Although I'm no expert by any means, if I had to guess what's going on, it's that the Sekenot packaged form of wheat has more 'laxative'/relaxing effect on colon muscles" than tricuits, grape nuts, etc. You may want to try a three-pronged approach (1. laxative/relaxant properties of sekenot and peppermint oil/leaves, 2. Digestive Enzymes (e.g., papaya extracts containing papain), and 3. Probiotics such as Primadophilus capsules to promote good gut flora) and then experiment to see which combination of the 3 (1 alone, 1+2, 1+3, 2, 2+3, 3) will work for you.

I, too, have noticed that certain fruits have a more pronounced effect on regularity than others (papayas, mangos, and watermelon work the best for me) while others when taken alone don't seem to do much.

Cardiovascular exercise also seems to help.

I think I have a case of IBS. My bowels are retarded ever since I came back from Iraq. I've never taken fiber supplements in my life but I started about a couple months ago when I was constipated.

I tried Benefiber but that didn't work for me at all. Sekenot worked wonders on me, and now I'm on Metamucil-like Mejier brand orange flavored seeds.

That isn't working... I think Senekot is the way to go. Wheat wheat wheat. Even when I intake nearly pure fiber (triscuits, grape nuts, etc...) i still have trouble going.

I inherited the bowels of my mother. Wonderful.

probably should watch what you eat and/or combination of food. That and the cleanliness of a restaurant. Sometimes shit happens (no pun intended).
