A couple weeks ago, when I heard a columnist for the Chicago Tribune, Sam Smith, had picked the Golden State Warriors to beat the #1 seed Dallas Mavericks, I thought he had to be smoking something for him to make that pick. Turns out he knew something that most of us didn’t.

After watching the series, I can say that this is probably the fastest team I’ve seen in the 19 years I’ve been following the NBA. The only real team that matches up well against them is Phoenix (before the season, I picked to win it all…over Chicago), who can play the uptempo style, but also the half-court game…and maybe the more defensive-minded East teams.
